Step-by-step (Safari)
- 1
Open YouTube and copy the link
In the YouTube app, tap Share → Copy Link. Or open the video on safari and copy from the address bar.
- 2
Open Safari and go to snaptok.org/youtube-downloader
Safari is required for the Save to Photos step.
- 3
Paste and tap Download
Paste the YouTube link and tap Download. Pick HD MP4.
- 4
Tap and hold → Save to Photos
When the video appears, press and hold on the video preview and choose Save to Photos. The MP4 lands in your camera roll.
Save to Photos vs Save to Files
- Save to Photos — file lands in camera roll, visible in Photos app
- Save to Files — file lands in iCloud Drive or On My iPhone
What if the Download button doesn't trigger Save?
iPhone Safari opens the MP4 in a new tab. Just tap and hold on the video, then choose Save to Photos. That's the standard iOS behaviour for direct media files.
Audio only on iPhone
Pick the MP3 option on the download page — Safari will prompt to Save to Files. Open in Apple Music or any podcast app.
FAQ
Do I need an app to download YouTube on iPhone?+
No. snaptok.org/youtube-downloader works directly in Safari — no app, no jailbreak, no YouTube Premium subscription.
Why doesn't Save to Files work?+
It does — choose Save to Files in Safari's download prompt instead of Save to Photos. Files goes to your iCloud Drive or On My iPhone.
Can I download YouTube Shorts on iPhone?+
Yes — paste the Shorts URL the same way. They save as standard MP4 in your camera roll.
Will the YouTube creator know I downloaded their video?+
No. Downloads via SnapTok are anonymous — no notification, no view counted.
Can I download long YouTube videos (over 1 hour)?+
Yes — the file size will be larger, but there is no length limit on SnapTok.
